The dealer draws one card from the shuffled deck and places it face-up in the centre. This is the "joker" card — its rank is what you are betting on.

Each player receives 13 cards (in standard Indian Rummy). Your goal is to arrange them into valid sets (3–4 cards of same rank, different suits) and sequences (3+ consecutive cards of same suit).
On your turn, draw from the closed deck or the open discard pile. Then discard one card. You are building your hand towards a valid declaration while managing what you reveal to opponents.
A valid declaration requires at least two sequences, one of which must be a pure sequence (no joker). The rest can be sets or impure sequences using printed or wild jokers.
When your hand is complete, declare at BetPKE. If valid, opponents count their ungrouped card points as penalty. The player who declares with the lowest total points (ideally zero) wins the pot.
Without a pure sequence, your declaration is invalid no matter how good the rest of your hand looks. Prioritise forming your natural sequence before anything else.
Aces, Kings, and Queens carry 10 penalty points each. If you cannot see a clear way to include them in your hand within two rounds, discard them rather than holding them speculatively.
If your opponent consistently picks from the discard pile, you can identify which suits and ranks they are building. Avoid discarding cards that complete their hand.
Minimum Rs 200 at standard BetPKE Blackjack tables. You can also place an optional Insurance bet (when dealer shows an Ace) or Pairs side bets.
Number cards are face value, face cards (J/Q/K) are 10, Ace is 1 or 11. A natural blackjack (Ace + 10-value card) pays 3:2 at BetPKE.
Hit to receive another card. Stand to keep your total. Double down to double your bet and receive exactly one more card. Split if you have two cards of equal value.
Dealer must hit on 16 or under, stand on 17+. If your total is closer to 21 (without busting), you win 1:1. Tie (push) returns your stake. Bust and the dealer wins.
